We are the Girls on Track Iron Girl teams. We will be racing in a SPRINT TRIATHLON at Centennial Park on August 17, 2014. This consists of a .62 mile swim in Centennial Lake, followed by a 16 mile bike ride and a 5K run.
One girl put it this way, "I learned that I am the boss of my brain." Helping girls take charge of their lives and define the future on their terms. You can also think of it as Can University—a place where girls learn that they can. No limits. No constraints. Only opportunities to be remarkable.
Every one has a story to tell! Please share your GOTR story with us! We will take your answers and turn them into short stories for the blog, newsletter, sponsor letters, social media. Each team, each girl has their own unique experience from start to finish. We want to hear your story. How were you inspired? What act of kindness did you witness? How did GOTR impact you?
Girls on the Run coaches are enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive volunteers. Coaches are committed to empowering girls with valuable life lessons. Coaches must have availability one or two days a week from September 21st-December 12th with our 5K on December 6th at 8:30am.
By supporting Girls on the Run, you can make it possible for girls to participate in our valuable program. As a nonprofit, your donations are essential. No matter how much you give, every dollar is used to change the lives of girls throughout our area.
How are you enjoying your #gotrsummer? Share your summer photos, get healthy tips and stay connected with the GOTR mission by participating in our weekly challenges with #gotrcenmdsummer and #gotrsummer!
